The Masquerade by Desi After all these years, I was home. The only one who knew was my brother, and I knew Itachi wouldn't tell a soul. It was time I told him how even though he annoyed the the hell out of me. My heart and soul had always been captivated by those expressive blue eyes. Growing up with him was so annoying, he constantly challenged me in the most mundane. Usually losing, rarely won. Yet he always smiled. Always came back wanting to compete, to hang out, to be my friend. I watched him in high school, going to all his games, and all his meets just to watch. I pretended to be there for Suigetsu, or Jugo. Yet, my eyes never left his form. I pretended not to care when he ran through the gauntlet of girls, breaking my heart. Knowing I would never have him see me the way I saw him. In college I came home one spring break to see him at the mall with some of our mutual friends, there he was laughing and joking. Women surrounded him, he was like the sun and those were his planets. Everyone orbited him. That's when I was him, Shocking eyes of green, hair as red as lava sitting with all of them. No one noticed me, but I noticed them. The pull from the smaller man Naruto, their lips softly pressing together crushed me. Now I was ready, I needed to let him know before it killed me. Even if his feelings never were returned I couldn't keep hiding from my hometown and my family because of a ten-year crush. The party was tonight and I was more than ready to say my peace. The air hung thick with the scent of expensive perfume and anticipation. It was Naruto's 24th birthday, a masquerade ball thrown at his family's sprawling estate. I hadn't seen Naruto in three years, not since I left for college. Three years without the stolen glances across the crowded cafeteria, of watching him run the ball down the field, study sessions fueled by unspoken longing, of the silent ache in my chest that only intensified with distance. Tonight, however, the air crackled with something different – tangible electricity that hummed between us beneath the swirling silks and feathery masks. He looked stunning, even more so than I remembered, his usually boisterous energy tempered by a quiet intensity that mirrored my own. As I navigated the throng, searching for him amidst the swirling sea of masked faces, I felt a familiar flutter in my stomach, a nervous excitement that bordered on panic. Then I saw him, a flash of vibrant blonde peeking from beneath a black domino mask. My heart hammered against my ribs. He turned, a slow, deliberate movement, and our eyes met across the crowded room. The mask did little to hide the familiar glint in his eyes, the mischievous spark that had always drawn me in. A nervous laugh escaped my lips, a sound lost in the music. He approached, his steps confident yet hesitant, his gaze unwavering. As he drew closer, I noticed a small, almost imperceptible tremble in his hands, a vulnerability that only amplified his charm. He removed his mask, revealing a shy smile that sent a wave of warmth through me. "Sasuke," he whispered, his voice a low rumble that resonated deep within my soul. He reached out, his fingers brushing against mine, a spark igniting between us. "I… I've missed you," he confessed, his voice barely above a breath. At that moment, surrounded by the revelry and anonymity of the masked ball, he confessed his feelings for me, echoing the sentiments that had silently haunted me for years. The confession hung in the air, heavy with unspoken emotions, finally acknowledged and released. His words weren't just a revelation, but a validation; a confirmation of all the silent hopes and dreams I'd nurtured during those long years apart. Years of wondering, of doubting, of fearing the rejection that had suddenly vanished. I removed my mask, revealing the vulnerability I had been carefully concealing. "I've missed you too, Naruto," I whispered back, the words falling short of expressing the depth of my feelings. He leaned in, his breath warm against my ear, and kissed me, a soft, tender kiss that spoke volumes of unspoken love and shared longing. Amid a masquerade ball, under the cover of anonymity, we finally found each other, a love story as unexpected and as thrilling as the night itself.
- Where's My Hug?- Mirko x Black Female Reader by Shy_Reader27
Go back to Fan Fiction Home Page Warning Tags: friends to lovers, smut, fluff, yuri, vaginal fingering, dirty talking, aftercare Where's My Hug?- Mirko x Black Female Reader by Shy_Reader27 It's Valentine's Day again. After work, I'm planning to spend it drinking wine, eating a frozen pizza, and watching cute animal videos on YouTube. That may sound sad for a 32 year old, but I'm too shy to ask out the person I've been crushing on for months. Besides, being alone doesn't mean I'm lonely, I would rather have my peace of mind anyway. Then here comes my best friend (and crush), Rumi Usagiyama, better known as Mirko. She just got back from patrols and was ready to give me her report to file. Some say she's crazy for wanting to continue being a hero after losing both arms and her leg. I however find her incredible for it. It's baffling how a strong, confident, beautiful adrenaline junkie like her would want to be friends with me. I'm no ugly duckling and I love the brown skin and kinky hair I was born with. But I like being at home most of the time. Plus the most thrilling thing I can handle is roller-coasters. Compared to Rumi, I'm just plain. "Where's my hug Itty Bitty?" She loves the fact that she's not the shortest person in the agency. Even though I'm an even 5 feet and Rumi is 5' 3". "I'm coming don't rush me." I say as I get up from my desk to wrap my arms around her. This was our routine whenever we saw each other since we started hanging out after work. She'd ask for a hug, and I would try to stay calm as I wrap my arms around her waist; feeling her ample breast push up against mine...I feel like I'm no better than a man sometimes. As our hug ends, Rumi throws me a curve ball. "I'm coming to your place for a sleepover." She stated. "Oh r-really? Um...sure, yeah...that's cool." Goodness I sound like such a dork. Rumi replied, "Yup. I don't wanna be alone bored tonight, so I'm coming over to annoy you." "Girl you annoy me here. Ain't that enough?" I say jokingly "Nope." Rumi said and leans closer to my face, "I get to say when I'm done with you." My brain is screaming, DON'T KISS HER! DON'T KISS HER! DON'T KISS HER! "Fine I'll make two frozen pizzas. See you later tonight." I say, thankfully not giving in to my impulses. "That's my Itty Bitty." Rumi says as she pulls away to stand straight again. "I'm gonna go shower and change my limbs. I'll be there around 6:30." I chuckle as she refers to changing her combat prosthetics to a normal set of arms and a leg so casually. She puts her body through hell to protect others. Yet she finds the humor in it all when most people like me would fall apart. How can I not fall for this woman? "I'll see you then Rumi." I turn back to my desk so I can get these files done. "See you Bitty. And wear something cute." Rumi then turns around to walk to the locker rooms. As I lift my head up to ask why, I became silent. My eyes drift down to Rumi's behind as she walks away. Her costume emphasizing the shape and jiggle of each cheek. I really am no better than a man. It's almost 6:30 and I have everything ready for my now sleepover with Rumi. I showered and changed into my fuzzy baby blue pajama booty shorts and matching hoodie with a picture of a big lollipop on it; and finished with fuzzy pink polkadotted socks. Rumi said to dress cute, I think I look adorable. The pizzas are almost done baking in the oven. And I grabbed an extra bottle of wine on the way home. All I have to do now is wait for my guest. When the doorbell rings I start feeling butterflies in my stomach. I wonder why? This wouldn't be the first time Rumi has spent the night. Maybe cause it's Valentine's Day and I wish this sleepover was more of a date than just friends hanging out. I rush to open the door before I get too into my feelings. When I opened the door my mouth was agape. Rumi had on a red bodycon mini dress with a plunging neckline. Her breast looked like they were about to spill out; paired with red bottom pumps. She looked gorgeous. We both looked each other up and down in adoration, and confusion. "What are you wearing?" We both say at the same time. Rumi starts, "Who wears pajamas when they're expecting a guest? I told you to look cute." I rest my hands on my hips, "I am dressed cute. Who dresses like they're going clubbing for a sleepover with frozen pizza?" We both paused, then busted out laughing. I let Rumi inside while we were still cackling. As she sets her overnight bag down, I head into the kitchen to grab plates of pizza for us, a bottle of wine, and some wine glasses. With the skills I retained from my old waitress jobs, I set everything down on the coffee table. Rumi pats a space next to her on the couch. We start eating after I sit down and turn on the TV. Rumi helps me clear the table and grabs the second wine bottle. We get back to the couch and I notice Rumi is sitting closer to me. She leans over me to refill my wine glass. Her low neckline makes seeing her bountiful cleavage inevitable. She sits up and looks at me with a sly grin. "You can at least have your mouth closed if you're gonna stare at my tits." I didn't even realize I was staring. Immediately I shut my mouth and turned my head away in embarrassment. Great, now she thinks I'm a creep. I feel Rumi grab my chin, turning my head to face her. The smirk she has remains; those scarlet eyes lock me in. "You're forgiven," she says, then lets go of my face to turn her attention back to the TV, sipping her own glass of wine. My fluttering heart feels like it'll explode. I couldn't blame the alcohol in my system. The urge to kiss her is so strong, but will I ruin our friendship if I do? Will confessing my feelings disgust her? I don't even know if she likes women. Even if she did, would I be her type? I'm not strong or want to jump into battles eagerly. I'm just a plain homebody that prefers watching The Golden Girls. Rumi might not want me romantically...but I'll never know if I don't ask. Dammit I'm a grown woman. I can't act like a scared school girl anymore. If she doesn't return my feelings I'll at least have closure. I take a big swig of my wine and turn my body to fully face my best friend. "I need to tell you something Rumi." Rumi also turns her body to face me, giving me her full attention. "What's up Itty Bitty? " I take a deep breath, then another, and another. My hands grip the bottom of my hoodie tightly. I'm so nervous, I can feel tears threatening to build up in my eyes. You'll never know if you don't say anything. I start talking, "I really like being around you. You're so exciting, and cool. You never seem to be afraid of anything. I really like how confident you are. How you always know what to do and take charge of tough situations. You always make me smile without even trying. There's so many things I like about you." I take another deep breath. Rumi stays silent, somehow knowing that I'm not done confessing yet. "I really really like you Rumi. It's ok if you don't feel the same. I just couldn't hold back these feelings I have for you anymore. Bottling it up was starting to hurt." Another deep breath, this time tears start running down my face. "Even if you don't feel that way about me, I hope we can still be friends. I just want to be close to you, in whatever way you're comfortable with." Finally, I said it; whatever happens next, I'll accept it. Rumi puts her hands on my cheeks. She wipes my tears away and looks me directly in my eyes. Her scarlet reds meet my deep brown. She smiles at me gently, I've never seen her look like that before. She scoots closer and wraps her arms around me, I do the same. After a few moments she pulls back, but she continues to hold my hands. "First, I never got my hug from you," she starts. "Second, if I knew you liked women, I would've pursued you ages ago." I'm stunned speechless. My mouth is gaping in shock. Did she really just say that? I've been so scared of being rejected, but Rumi and I could have been together sooner if I'd just made my feelings more obvious. I feel her grip on my hands tighten. "Baby I've wanted you for so long," she said. "You keep me grounded when everything around me feels intense. I like that I can tell you about what's going on with me and you just listen. I like being able to relax and just exist with you. I don't need to be a hero around you. That's why I like coming over here and watch old sitcoms with you." She caresses one of her hands across my cheek. "I like you just as much as you like me." I couldn't hold back anymore. I close the distance between us and press my lips against hers. She returns the kiss as we hold each other tightly. I can't believe this is really happening. Rumi's lips feel so soft against my own. She begins to pull me closer until I'm sitting on her lap. Our kissing intensifies as she pushes her tounge into my mouth. I match her pace, our tounges sliding against each other. No part of our mouths was left untouched. We break apart from our kiss panting. I caress Rumi's face and rest my forehead against hers. She runs her hands along my back. My heart is filled with so much happiness. The woman of my dreams loves me back. "Is this real?" I whispered. Rumi holds me tighter. "Yes Bitty, it is." We share another kiss while looking forward to our future together. - First Encounter: Geto Suguru by LHatake87
Go back to Fan Fiction Home Page Warning Tags: JJK, explicit content First Encounter: Geto Suguru by LHatake87 "Geto!" The teenage girl's voice bounced through the corridor, "Slow down," she panted as he stopped at the edge of the grass. Looking down, he waited for her to speak. Blinking up at him, Y/n thought over what she should say. His eyes were softer than usual, but still hard and firm. As he watched her e/c eyes, he hated how they tugged at his heart. She was the only one that could pull any emotion from him aside from anger and hatred. Geto Suguru did not have a weakness. Until the day he met her. Y/n Nanami. She was light in the darkness of the world they lived in. Killing. Curses. Sorcerers. Was there ever going to be an end to it all? One day. One day Geto would make sure the world would be rid of curses and sorcerers alike. ——— Geto remembers the first time he met Y/n like it was yesterday. His underclassman, Kento Nanami, was escorting someone through the gates of the school. As he approached Nanami, he scanned the girls silhouette. Her h/c hair was tied up with a dark red ribbon, high and kept off her neck. She wore a pair of white thigh high socks, accentuating her legs. The black skirt was rather short, but Geto still found his eyes drawn upward, taking in all of her. The white blouse was crisp and clean on her back. "Nii-San," her voice was delicate as Geto moved closer. "I told you that you don't have to do this. I'm perfectly fine-" "You need to learn how to control your cursed energy," Nanami cut off the girl. She had called him 'Nii-San' but Geto didn't recall Nanami mentioning a younger sister. Or any sister, for that matter. "You won't listen to me, so this is the best option." Before Geto could speak, the girl beside Nanami stopped abruptly, gasping loudly. Her arms were raised as if she had been surprised and disgusted all at once. Geto lifted his gaze, only to find his smug friend stopped before the h/c. "You're all wet, Muffin," Gojo's voice taunted as he stepped back. Those ice-blue eyes over the rim of his glasses, Gojo's gaze danced over the drenched girl. The bottle of water in his hand was nearly empty as he held it. Geto watched as he held his breath. Nanami and Gojo were never a good combo. If this girl truly was Nanami's younger sister, Gojo was likely in for an ear full. "Muffin?!" The girl huffed angrily as she stomped her foot. Lifting her head, whatever words were on her tongue fell short when she found the eyes of Gojo looking at her. Geto braced himself for the backlash that was coming. But instead, Gojo was the one to speak first. "My apologies, Muffin," why was he sticking with that? "Here," Gojo moved, dropping the bottle to the ground, allowing him to remove his jacket. As Gojo moved in closer, he wrapped the black fabric around the girl's shoulders. He was close enough for his static scent to slip up her nose. Her eyes were leveled at his chest. He was so tall. The white of his shirt was wrinkled slightly. She was torn between lifting her head and letting him continue without daring a look. But she had to. Those eyes had sliced through her like a knife. When her head lifted, Gojo had his tilted downward. Those glacial orbs caught sight of her e/c ones again. Her breath shuddered in her chest as she felt his fingers brushed her neck. As he fixed the collar of his jacket, she shakily slipped her arms inside. Had time managed to stop around them? She was certain Kento wouldn't allow a boy to be so close to her. Let alone a handsome one. "What's your name, Muffin?" Gojo coaxed. Opening her mouth, nothing came out. Clearing her throat, she tried again, "Y/n," she offered, "F/n Nanami." "Satoru Gojo," he smiled lazily, "I didn't know Nanami had a sister." He arched a brow as he looked to Kento. "Older?" He inquired, "Or younger?" His tone caressed Y/n as she watched him intently. He hadn't moved back. Kento was not as impressed as his sister. "We need to go, Ryo." Ryo- to defy. Nanami had called her that since they were kids. She hated it. But that's partially why he kept using it. She defied everyone, every step of the way. Including him. No matter what it was in life, she would fight against anyone that tried to tell her what to do. Taking hold of Y/n's arm, Nanami yanked her towards him closer. "His jacket," she pleaded. "I'll return it later," Nanami glanced back, "after you can change." That was it. Geto didn't even get to say hello. He watched on as Nanami dragged her forward. Her head was turned back, looking between Gojo and Getou, the man she hadn't seen until now. Neither male could take their eyes off of her. But why? What was so special about her? Geto suspected that Gojo wanted a new toy. He loved screwing with girls hearts. Gojo picked up the water, "Well this is an interesting development," he smiled teasingly. "You did it on purpose," Geto glanced to Gojo, "didn't you?" "Who, me?" Gojo's smile twisted into a smirk, "I would never dream of doing something like that on purpose." They watched as the brother and sister vanished inside the building. "Did you know he had a sister?" Geto thought for a moment, "No," he answered honestly. "And whatever you're thinking," they looked at each other, "don't do it." It was pointless, though, and Geto knew it. There was no stopping Gojo Satoru when he had his mind set on something. He took what he wanted. And somehow, no one hated him for it. Yet. He was arrogant, but his lineage allowed him to back it up. Geto hated him sometimes. Not only for his power, but for his lackadaisical attitude. Geto wished things didn’t bother him like they did Gojo. As Gojo walked to follow the path of Y/n and Nanami, Geto shook his head. There was no reason for him to try and stop Gojo. He'd let him go make whatever mistakes he was going to. He'd deal with introductions later. ——— The rain fell behind Geto as he recalled the memory of the first time he'd seen her. It was a light drizzle, adding a chill to the air. Y/n's uniform was soaked as she had followed him through the campus. Shrugging off his jacket, he repeated the action Gojo had the first day they met. As he wrapped the jacket around her shoulders, Y/n froze at his closeness. "Mouse," he kept his voice hushed as he lifted his fingers to brush her damp bangs from her forehead, "what is it?" Y/n's breath caught in her throat as Geto’s hand slid to her cheek. "I-I-" She couldn't find her voice as he leaned in closer. Heat spread across her chest as Geto leaned in. "Tell me, Mouse," he murmured at the corner of her lips, "what is it you want?" "I'm tired of you teasing me," she said in a rushed admission. His lips curved into a smirk as he pressed them to her cheek. "I thought you liked my secret touches," she did, that wasn't the issue at all. "I want more," she admitted, "I want you to touch more of me." She couldn't believe she told him the truth. "Suguru, please." It wasn't the first kiss the two had shared, so Y/n wasn't surprised to taste the nicotine on his tongue as he slipped it into her mouth. The hand on her cheek slipped to hold her neck, giving him leverage to deepen the bruising kiss. With a hand on her waist, Geto guided Y/n towards the wall. The alcove between the vending machine and cinder blocks offered the perfect cover to give her what she thought she wanted. In truth, Geto wanted it too. He wondered if Y/n truly did, though. Tracing her hip, Geto let his hand slip to her bare thigh. Lifting it higher and higher, Geto’s fingers itched to strip her bare. Shifting their bodies, Geto allowed his hand to brush over her mound lightly. Y/n twitched under his touch. He wondered why she was suddenly so bold, but didn't dare ask. Lower. His fingers teased lower. Y/n nearly gasped as his fingers traced her clit. When Y/n moaned into the kiss they still shared, Geto broke away to watch her face. Her cheeks were blazing, but he didn't stop. He held her stare as he began to slowly stroke her sensitive bud. His hand kept her in place as his gripped tightened on her neck. She wouldn't have pulled away, but he wanted to make sure she wanted this. "Say it, Mouse," he coaxed, "Tell me what you want." Swollen lips parted with a moan, "Y-yes," she whispered. Geto shook his head, "Details, Mouse." "Touch me," she nearly shouted, "I want you to touch me, Suguru." Only he could manage to get her to say it. They both knew it. Geto rarely showed emotion, unless it came to Y/n. And this, this intense feeling between them now as his hand slid into her panties, he wanted to cherish it. He wanted to sweep her away from the world of curses and sorcery, but this would be the best he could offer her. Intimate moments shared between them that no one would ever know about. Whimpering, Y/n bit her lip as Geto’s fingers dipped lower. Her lips were slick with desire as he parted them. One finger eased into her. Pulling it free, he repeated the action. After a few strokes, he added a second, making Y/n moan loudly. "Shhh, Mouse," Geto pressed his lips to her damp neck, "someone might hear you." Y/n didn't know what to do with her hands at all. They lay flat on the concrete wall behind her. She wanted to touch Geto too, but she feared he'd stop if she did. Hesitantly, she lifted one hand to grip his forearm, the one that pumped his fingers. The muscles were taught as he continued to finger her. "Y-Yami," she stammered. Continuing to kiss her neck, Geto’s teeth slid against her pulse, "I'm your darkness," another scrape, "aren't I, Mouse?" All she could do was nod and make a noise that was something related to a yes. She was so close. She wanted more. She wanted him. But she knew he wouldn't go that far. Not here at least. And likely, not now. When Y/n's mouth flew open, Geto’s hand clamped over it, muffling the scream that rippled through her body. His dark eyes held her e/c ones as they glistened. As Geto moved his hand from her mouth, he covered it with his, smothering her with another kiss. Y/n nearly whined as Geto pulled his hand from between her legs. Moving far enough to hold her stare, Geto lifted his slicked fingers to his mouth. The blush on Y/n's cheeks intensified as she watched him slip them into his mouth. Geto had never tasted anything so delicious. The need to drink all of her in was almost too great. He needed to get away from her. Stepping back, Geto broke all contact with Y/n as he removed his fingers from his watering mouth. Y/n felt an icy cold as she watched Geto contained to walk back from her. All she could was hold his gaze as he walked away. Once on the threshold of the corridor, Geto turned without a word. Y/n stayed with her back pressed to the wall. Her legs felt like jello as she played the memory of his touch in her mind. She would never be able to forget what he felt like. She didn't want to. She wanted more- NO! She needed more. What Geto didn't know, and would one day hate himself for, was that Y/n had never been touched like that before. What a first encounter. - Love Ain’t: Sousuke Yamakazi by LHatake87
Tags: Free!, reader insert, Sousuke I sat watching TV, bored out of my mind and lonely on a Friday night. Rin had asked me if I was joining him, but I didn't want to see him flirt all night when he had the perfect girl waiting for him at her apartment. It was currently 7:15. My phone lit up, and I knew immediately that Rin had, in fact, ditched his girlfriend. "Hello?" I knew what was coming, but I still pretended I had no idea what the idiot had done. "H-hey, Sou?" "What's wrong, Y/n?" "Is Rin with you?" I could hear how broken she was, which made my heart clench. She still put on a brave face, trying to keep her voice level and calm. "I'm sitting at home, watching TV. I don't know where Rin is." It wasn't entirely a lie; he was out, but where out was, I didn't know. "Oh." "I thought you two were going to dinner?" I asked, muting the TV. "He hasn't shown up and isn't answering my calls or texts." "How many times have you tried him?" "Two calls and three texts." That's less than last time; maybe she's getting fed up with him. "Sou?" "Yea?" "Why am I not good enough?" "I'll see you in a few, okay? I'm walking out the door now." I stood up and put on my shoes, not waiting for her reply. "Sou, you don't have to-." "I'm on my way." I hung up the phone, not letting her protest. Y/n. We met in physical therapy a couple of years ago, and then I introduced her to Rin. I didn't think I had anything to offer her, so I practically pushed her into his arms. They've been together about eighteen months now, and all I've done over the last six months is watch him walk all over her. Rin might be my best friend, but the woman deserved better. At first, everything seemed fine, and they were great together, but then, I think he got bored. He stopped taking her out and started talking about her like she meant nothing to him. I told him to break up with her, but he said, 'It's nice to feel wanted.' I didn't think anything of it then, but I get it now- he wanted a backup. She was beautiful, her h/c hair that she usually wore up, but I loved how it framed her face when it was down. Her e/c shimmered brightly when she was happy and excited, her smile making them even more beautiful. Her smile made the sun seem dull with how much light it brought to my life. Body, I could get lost in exploring it, the curves and dips that I've only been privy to in a swimsuit a few times. She felt inadequate, and she was far from it. She always doted on Rin and catered to his every need as well. His needs always came first, always. She turned down a job moving out of Tokyo for him, afraid a long-distance relationship would be too complicated for them. She had no family here; her parents were deceased, and her brother lived a few hours away. I became attached, wanting to protect her. Then, I realized it was more than that. I had fallen in love with how she covered her mouth when she giggled lightly. There are barely any creases near her eyes when she gives me a closed-eye smile. She has a nervous habit of cracking her fingers' knuckles when uncomfortable. She chews the skin of her lip off when she's people-watching. When I've seen her fall asleep on her couch, or Rin's, she pulls the covers up to hide part of her face, as if it will keep the world out. *knock knock* "Sousuke." She looked relieved, and my heart pumped faster in my chest. I wanted nothing more than to hold her, but I had to hear her say it. "You didn't have to come over." "I wasn't doing anything." I stepped past her and headed for her living room. "Besides, why should you waste that outfit on being home alone?" She was dressed in a little black dress, with silver and diamonds on her neck and ears—even her tennis bracelet, which Rin had bought her for their anniversary. Her heels were beside the door, along with her small wristlet, which she tended to carry when going out. She looked alluring, sexy, and beautiful all at once. "I bought it earlier this week, and I was hoping—oh, never mind." She sighed, took off her jewelry, and tossed it on the coffee table. Rin had a habit of buying her fancy things, his way of apologizing. She said she appreciated them, but she preferred affection over attention. "Do you want to go out?" I asked, looking up at her. She was standing between the couch and the coffee table, about to sit next to me. "Not really. Rin said we were going to dinner and meeting Haru, Asahi and Kisumi. I guess Haru started dating someone, and he wanted Rin to meet her." "He told me yesterday, Haruka, not Rin," I explained as she plopped down. As she did, the skirt flared, and I caught a glimpse of red fabric beneath it. "Maybe I'll just change, and we can watch a movie." She sat board straight suddenly, "Only if you want to!" She practically shouted, "I mean, you came all the way here and-" "I wanted to make sure you were alright. This is the third or fourth time he's done this." That's a lie; it's the tenth. "Tenth." Ah, she kept track, too. "It's the tenth time he's done this in the last six months." She looked at her knees, her fingers laced, and sat on her thighs in the bundle of fabric bunched there. "Everything changed when I told him I turned down that job." I literally sat on my hands, simply so I wouldn't hold her—okay, so I wouldn't kiss her, but that's not the point. "Daisy," her sniffle made me halt my words. Daisy was my nickname that I only used when we were alone, and even she didn't know why I used it. "What did I do wrong?" "Nothing." I took my hand from under my leg and put it on her hands, her tears hitting my skin. "You did absolutely nothing wrong." "I'm tired of it, Sousuke. I'm tired of feeling like this. I'm tired of him treating me like one of his trophies." She looked at me, and a look of determination sat on her face. "He can't decide when he wants to put me on display and when he wants to hide me on some shelf." I couldn't help but chuckle at her analogy; it was fitting, really. "You deserve so much more than this." My words had her blinking her tears away as she wiped her cheeks. "Rin has been my friend for a long time, but I consider you my friend as well. And, with that, I have this to say: this isn't what love is, Daisy." "Why do you call me that?" Her voice sounded small and childlike as if she were astounded by words. "Daisy?" "Yes." She admitted. "Well," I looked away, unsure if I should say the words that would explain the pet name. Daisies remind me of the sun," I started before looking back at her. You remind me of the sun, bringing light into my life and a promise of tomorrow, a new start to a new day." "Sousuke." She whispered. "I may not know how love truly works. I've only had two major girlfriends, and both were disasters, but I know what love ain't, and this ain't it." "I don't know how to break up with him." She admitted. "He's been my rock for so long." "What if- what if you found a new one?" What was I saying? Rin is my friend. I shouldn't be doing this! She became a stuttering mess, unsure of what words to use. She stood up quickly, making me worry. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean-" "Maybe you should go." Shit! "Daisy, wait, I didn't mean to upset you, it's just, I-" "Sou, don't say something you don't mean or that you'll regret. Our friendship means too much to me." She went to walk away, so I stood up and reached for her, turning her around to face me. I pulled her body flush with mine and did the only thing I could think of: I kissed her. Those perfect lips melted against mine, and I felt her tense, then sigh and relax. Our tongues mingled, and I could taste the saltiness of her tears as they did. I released her; only so my hands could caress her body, memorizing those curves, I longed to touch. "I can't." She stepped back suddenly, breaking the kiss and my heart. "Dammit, this isn't what I wanted to happen." I groaned as I ran a hand through my hair. "I told you not to do anything you'd regret." She backed away even further. "You should leave." "That's not what I mean. I'm not going to betray my friendship, but I can't sit here and watch as the woman I love gets her heart broken by some idiot!" She was dumbstruck. Her eyes shimmered again as tears welled, and I felt the slap before I even registered what she was doing. Her phone buzzed, and Rin's face popped up on the screen. "You should leave." She repeated. She picked up her phone and answered it as she sat down, putting it on speaker and sitting it in her lap. "Babe, you okay?" Rin actually sounded concerned. "Yeah, why?" "I thought I told you to meet me at the bar." "No, you said you would pick me up for dinner, just you and me, and then we'd go to the bar." She snapped. "We had dinner last night." "We can't have dinner more than once a week together?" I've never seen her talk to him this way. She cut her eyes to me. I was still standing and didn't know what to do with myself. "What's up with you?" "Do you still love me?" Her voice shook, but she didn't cry. "What?" I stayed quiet, not wanting to cause more problems. "Let me rephrase: are you still in love with me?" "Ever since you had lunch with Sousuke last week, you've been distant." Rin paused, and I saw her shrink in on herself. "Did something happen?" Did something happen? I thought back to lunch. Gou and Rin met up with us at the mall after they had gone to see their mother. It wasn't a big deal. We were at the mall for about forty-five minutes before they got there. We ate and walked past a few stores and window shopping. "This has nothing to do with Sousuke." She snapped. It hit me the moment that made her honestly question Rin. "You want to stop and look?" I noticed her gaze linger on the engagement rings. It hurt to see her looking at them; the future she wanted was sitting right there, and I wasn't the man she wanted , though my heart longed for me to be him. "No, why get my hopes up." She wasn't asking. "You never know . Rin is full of surprises." Yea... surprises. "Have you ever loved someone?" I went to answer, but she kept going, "Someone you couldn't have." She finished. She sounded so depressed her mood suddenly changed . "What do you mean?" "I met someone once, and I immediately felt light and airy. Free and unbound by anything. But," she looked back to the rings, longing in her eyes, "I guess he didn't feel the same." Who was she talking about? "And Rin?" I asked. "I've come to love him, but is that really enough?" She walked away from me as though she had told me the time and we needed to get going. I was stunned. Wait, was she talking about me? There's no way, she couldn't possibly. Rin's voice had me looking back at her. She looked so fragile and broken, unsure of her choices in life. "Then what is it?" Rin barked. "Are you cheating on me? Is that why you're never with me?" "What? How could you-" "I saw the text from Mina last week, so something is going on." She accused. "Let me in." "What?" She asked as she whipped her head to me. "I'm here. Let me in." He sounded bitter and angry. The phone went quiet, indicating he hung up. "Sou-" her words were cut off by Rin knocking. She sighed and headed for the door. This was bad, really bad. "What took you so long, and why are you crying? I know I told you- Sousuke?" Rin pushed past her and stormed to where I was standing. "Do you want to explain to me what's going on?" I could smell the alcohol on his breath. Y/n moved between us, black streaks from her mascara and eyeliner down her cheeks. "Who's Mina?" She asked fists balled beside her tense body. I looked over her and down at Rin. I knew who Mina was, and I had kept his secret for two months now. For two months, he's been cheating on her. Before, he flirted and collected phone numbers like it was a game. "Why is Sousuke here?" Rin asked, his eyes cutting up to me and back to the h/c. "I called him, that's why." She was growing increasingly upset, her anger mixing with her suspicion. "Why would you call him?" "You're already drunk?" She glanced behind her at her clock, "It's just after eight." "You're avoiding the question." "Because you didn't answer my calls or texts. Now, I'm going to assume you're here, attempting to get me to go out because whatever Mina is to you canceled on you." Rin flinched at her words. "Who is she?!" She shouted this time. "No one." Rin tried to shrug it off. "Bullshit." She spat before spinning to face me. "If he was willing to take her to meet Haru, then you've met her already." My face fell, and then hers did, too. She felt betrayed, not by Rin, but by me. "You knew." She whispered. "No wonder everyone's been avoiding me." She looked at the floor now. "That's why Gou acted so strange last week at the mall." "Dai- Y/n, I think you and Rin need to talk this out." Her head snapped up to me, and I could see the heartbreak in her dull eyes. "Did you ever love me?" She looked at me for a moment longer before turning around. I felt the question was posed to us both. "Did you?" The look in Rin's eyes said it all, and I was trying to prepare myself for the onslaught that was coming. "No." He answered and moved forward, reaching for her, but she stepped back and ran into me before falling to her hands and knees. Rin fell to his knees before her and tried to make her look at him, but she fought him tooth and nail. "Look at me!" He shouted, "Dammit, look at me!" "Just go!" She yelled, pushing him away. "Wh-" she cut him off. "We're over, Rin, so just go. I'm not doing this anymore. I'm not going to feel like I'm not good enough for you; nothing's ever good enough for you." "That's because you're not." "Rin!" I raged. "Fuck you!" She bolted upright, making him stumble back as he stood. "Get the fuck out, now. I'll pack your things and drop them at Haru's tomorrow." "I'll leave when you tell me why he's here." She held his intimidating gaze as he pressed the issue. "Are you fucking him?" Rin and I were rivals and best friends in other ways. We've had our fights, and we've had our issues, but the way he was talking to her, the way he was treating her, I didn't know if we'd come back from this. She laughed dryly, making her sound mad as a hatter, "We've never even kissed, you idiot." "Then why is he here?" He urged again. With a cold heart and a venom-coated tongue, she answered him, "Because, unlike you, I thought maybe he loved me." She walked around him and opened the door. "Out. Both of you." Rin didn't utter a word as he walked out of her apartment and out of her life, it seemed. I couldn't find words to say. Rin had just cut out her heart and stomped on it, but I felt as though I was the one with his heart missing. When I stepped out into the hallway, I turned back, and I was met with the most soul-crushing expression I've ever seen. "I never want to see you again." With a finality I didn't think she could, she closed the door slowly, as if her anger had receded and been replaced with a calm sense of relief and closure. I walked away and out of her life. My walk home was a blur, Rin nowhere in sight as I did. He didn't text or call, and I wasn't sure if I should reach out to him. What would tomorrow hold? Or the next day? Or even next week? Next month? I had always held onto this strange hope that she would end up in my arms somehow, but I was a fool. I worried I had nothing to offer her, but neither did Rin; he only gave her heartache and sorrow. I may not know what love is, but I know what love ain't... and this, this ain't it. ———————- "Will you be my Maid of Honor?" Gou asked me with the biggest smile the woman could possibly have. "Gou..." "Momo's brother is the best man, not Rin." That wasn't even the issue. Okay, it was part of it. "That's not it." "I know it's not all of it, but you won't talk to me about anything." She sighed and dropped down onto my couch in a huff. "You changed your number and only gave it to me, Haru, and Makoto. Seijiro said he bumped into you a month ago and almost had to beg you for it. You two were close before all of this." "He's close with Sousuke and Rin, I didn't-" "You moved, and Haru and I are the only ones you've let over here." She turned to me with a scowl. "And!" she shouted. "Momo and Seiji said they saw you out with Natsuya." "So?" "Is something going on with you two?" She pressed. "No, just friends." I looked away, "With benefits." "What?!" "Doesn't matter, I ended it two weeks ago." "I thought you said nothing was going on?" She asked. "He wanted a relationship, I didn't." I shrugged. "Y/n, what happened between you and Sou?" I looked away from her and towards the photo album, which I refused to look at. I was the outsider welcomed with open arms into their group, and it was so heartwarming at the time. Now, I cut all ties with them as much as I could. Gou and I had found a friendship even though her brother had cheated on me; in truth, he wasn't the issue at all. "I've been in love with him the moment I laid eyes on him." Gou gasped at my confession. "And you never said anything?" "He seemed like he only wanted a friend. He and Rin are similar in some ways, one of which is that swimming comes first. Sou was focused on rehab, and that was it at the time. We started talking, and he mentioned he had a friend he thought I might like, you know, the rest." "What happened that night?" Gou pressed. "Rin and Sousuke stopped talking for a while." "I called Sou because Rin ditched me again. It wasn't the first time I called him upset or the first time he came over because of it. At first, it wasn't a big deal; he was being Sou and reassuring me that I was not a bad girlfriend. He felt bad. Rin and him are so close," I sat back and closed my eyes as I rested my head on the couch, "Then I asked him why he gave me a nickname-" "A nickname?" I hummed. "What nickname?" Gou asked. "Daisy." I smiled lightly. "Because daisies remind him of the sun, and I reminded him of the sun. Bright and a promise of tomorrow, a new beginning." Gou gushed, "That's so romantic. And unlike Sousuke." She added the end in a huff. "I wanted him to go, worried he would do or say something he didn't mean, simply trying to be a friend to me. I didn't want to do anything I'd regret either." I opened my eyes and looked at Gou, sitting back up, "I stood up, trying to move away from him, but he pulled me to him and he- he kissed me." "He what?!" "When I told him I couldn't and that he should leave, he told me, 'I can't just watch as the woman I love gets her heart broken by some idiot. 'Then, your brother called." She just blinked. I sighed and added, "I don't know if Sou told Rin. I have no idea what happened after they left. I haven't talked to either one of them." "Wow... I don't know what to say." "There's nothing to say." I stood up, "I'll do it, Gou, but I'm only doing what's absolutely necessary of me." "Well..." I wouldn't say I liked the sound of this. "The engagement party is tonight." "Nope." "But-" "No buts. You can't just drop this on me." I walked into the kitchen, her hot on my heels. "I don't even have anything to wear." "I bought you a dress." She yelped when I spun around to glare at her. "It's in the car." I groaned. "Gou." I held the bridge of my nose and took a deep breath. "Sejiuro said he'd pick you up at 6:30." "What?" I dropped my hand and looked at her. "He said he didn't mind taking you as his date-" "Dammit, Gou!" "It makes sense, okay. You two know each other well enough. It's not like you have to kiss or anything." I pointed out, "I'm being set up, and I don't appreciate it." "But I want you there, please, by my side. I know you and Rin didn't work out, but I still feel like you're my sister. I love you, Y/n." Damn woman. "And I love you, which is why I'm doing this. I'll go, but I'm leaving when I want." "Yes!" She cheered. "I'll send Sejiuro your address." "Go ahead and send him my number if he gets lost." "Have you and Sejiuro-" "No." I cut her off. "I'm assuming Sousuke is going to be there." "He's in the wedding too." I sighed. "And Ai." "Fantastic. That means all of Iwatobi will be there, too." Sometimes, it was easier to describe the groups just using team names. "Well, yeah." She hugged me. "But it's an open bar, " she grinned at me. "One bonus," I smirked. "And I have a hot date." I hip-checked her, and she let go of me. She laughed. "Maybe we could still be sisters!" She beamed. "Nice try." She pouted at my words, and I couldn't help but laugh. "Get going. I'm sure you need to get ready." "Let me go get your dress!" She was so damn excited, and this is why I had a hard time telling her no. She returned with a black garment bag so I couldn't see the dress yet. "See you at seven!" She waved and bounced out my front door, happier than when she walked in. k I sighed and entered my bedroom, hanging the dress on my closet door before unzipping it. "Gou." I gritted. It was a little pink number, something I would never own or wear, but for her, I would. It came with strappy heels that matched perfectly. Well, let's get this over with, I guess. After applying light makeup and getting my hair done, I slipped the dress on but couldn't zip it myself. I grumbled the entire way to the front door, thankful he arrived on time but annoyed I'd be asking him to zip this dress. I held the dress to my chest and opened the door with a smile on my face. Sejiuro Mikoshiba, that sexy man with his perfect smile, greeted me a moment later with a dumbfounded expression. "I- you- wow." He finally breathed. "Can you help me?" "With?" He arched a brow. I stepped back, and he came in, letting me shut the door. "I can't zip it." I turned around and heard the gulp as he saw the top of the lace thong and no bra. "Do I have to be a gentleman right away?" He asked, and I could hear the smirk on his face. "I don't think the best man and maid of honor can be late to the engagement party." I smiled over my shoulder, and he chuckled. "Maybe afterward, you can throw out the gentleman's card." He initially turned crimson at my flirtatious comment but quickly found his voice again. "Gou said we could leave as soon as you're ready, so just let me know when you want to go." He let one hand rest on my hip as he zipped up the dress. "We don't have to go at all," I said as I turned to face him. "I kind of agree. Spending an evening alone with you seems more enjoyable to me, but my brother would have my ass." I laughed at his response and grabbed my clutch. "Then let's get this over with." As he drove, I could see that Sejiuro was uncomfortable, probably unsure of what to do or how to act. I let him fumble around for about ten minutes before I finally spoke up. "Rin cheated on me, but-" "You don't have to explain anything." He offered. "That's sweet of you, but you deserve to know what you're getting into." He nodded but stayed focused on the road, "Sousuke admitted he was in love with me the night I broke it off with Rin. The two have nothing to do with one another, though. I don't know if Rin knows or not." "And how do you feel?" He cut his eyes over, "About Sousuke?" "I don't know anymore," I admitted as I looked out the window. "We can go in as friends or a couple, whatever you want." "Seems like you're still in love with him." He pointed out. "I was never in love with Rin, which is cruel." "I meant Sousuke." I snorted, "Whatever." "Let's just see how the night goes." I didn't answer as I watched the buildings pass. My life was nothing like I expected it to be at that point. I sighed and laid my head back, closing my eyes as I did. I felt the car turn, and then he parked, signaling we arrived at our destination. "Hey," he called softly, making me look at him again, "you look beautiful, and we can leave as soon as you want. I'll even be a gentleman and just drop you off at home." "You're too sweet, Sej." He brushed a hand over my shoulder and momentarily twirled a strand of hair as he said, "That's an easy image to shatter." Heat rushed to my cheeks as he exited the car with a chuckle. "Jerk." I stuck my tongue out at him as I stood up after he opened my door. With his hand on my back, he gave me a small push towards the door, and I froze. "Hey, you'll be fine; I'm right here." It was sweet, really, but it didn't matter. Inside that building were Rin and Mina, and that's right, they were still together. Sousuke, was he still single? Or would he have someone draped over his arm? "Thanks." I smiled and walked with a little more confidence. Sejiuro still held my back as he opened the door and guided me in. All eyes landed on us the second the doors closed behind us. I scanned the room, catching the stares and murmurs until I couldn't avoid that particular set of blue. They were as breathtaking as the first time I saw them. I let my eyes linger on his features a little longer than I should before turning away with a bored expression. "There you are!" Gou shouted as she wrapped me in a hug. "The dress looks great, " she commented as she pulled away. "You could've mentioned it was pink. And that I'd need help getting in it." I deadpanned. "I'm sure Sejiuro didn't mind." She winked, making me roll my eyes. "I was surprised, to say the least," Sejiuro commented. "I almost thought you weren't coming," Momo commented as he put his arm around Gou. "I can't say no to her." I jerked my head in Gou's direction, and we all laughed. "Hey, sis, I- Y/n?" Rin paused when he saw me, a brunette walking next to him. "I didn't think-" "How could I miss this?" I gave a big grin, "Momo finally grew a pair and proposed." Some of the tension seemed to ease, but not all of it. "You're Y/n?" The woman, I assumed, was Mina asked. "Yes, it's nice to meet you. Mina, yes?" I extended my hand to her, and she looked at it, then Rin, and then back at me. I was pulled into a hug and went stiff, "I'm so glad you came; Gou was so worried you'd say no." She held me at arm's length now, "and Rin, he didn't know if he should-" "I'm fine, it's fine." I cut her off before she started spouting everyone's inner fears. I could already tell she was the perfect girl for Rin. "You two are good for each other." I smiled as I looked between the two, stepping back next to Sejiuro. "Oh, thank you." Mina seemed to glow at my compliment. "Are you two?" Sejiuro and I looked at each other before returning to the expectant group in front of us. "Just friends," I answered. "Gou asked him to escort me tonight," I explained. "Want a drink?" Sejiuro asked me. "Please." I smiled. "I'll be right back." He stepped away and left me with the growing family. After all, they'd be related soon. "Rin, your mom is waving me over. I'll be right back," Mina said. "I'll come with you." Rin offered. "It was good to see you, Y/n." "You too." That was all I could say. "Maybe we can talk later." Mina offered with a hopeful smile. "Sure." I nodded. "That wasn't so bad," Gou mumbled. "I expected a lot worse." Momo sighed with relief. "You know I don't like to cause a scene," I replied. "It's not that, I just-" "It's fine, Gou." I cut her off. "Come on, let me show you where the ceremony will be." Gou waved me to follow her. "I'll find you in a bit," Momo said as he turned to follow after his brother. I felt eyes on me as I walked with Gou, so I glanced over my shoulder to see those precious eyes on me again. I quickly turned my head and focused on where I was going instead of Sousuke. Gou was a gushing mess as she danced around the ballroom, describing the decor and floors before pulling out her phone and showing me pictures. I was happy for her but also felt sorry for myself. The ballroom door opened. I looked back to see two men enter and became highly suspicious. "Are you kidding me?" I snapped as I looked at the woman who arranged this. "What?" She was pulling the innocence card, but it wouldn't work. "I'm going to assume you told Momo all about our talk earlier, and that's why-" Gou tried to point out that "Avoiding him won't make it any better." "I'm not avoiding him." I was huffing like a kid who didn't get her way. "Could've fooled me." That voice had me spinning on my heel, and the glare on my face faltered for a moment. "Don't you even start." I bit out. There we sat, me glaring and him scowling. His arms were crossed across his broad chest, and my hands were balled into fists at my side. He let his eyes drift down my body, and I couldn't help but shiver under his gaze. When I let my eyes do the same to him, I realized that they even dressed us to match. He wore black slacks, but his button-down shirt was pale pink and perfectly matched my dress. "You're shitting me," I mumbled. "Are we going to pretend to get along so they'll let us out?" He asked, making me look into those eyes again. "What?" "You were too busy undressing me with your eyes to notice that they left the room. And locked the doors." I looked up, and around him, and sure enough, we were now alone, making me groan. "That sneaky little-" "You look nice." I looked up again, narrowing my eyes, "Just don't." I went to walk away, but much like the night that is forever grained into my mind, he pulled me flush to him, making me gasp. His arms were wrapped around my body, my arms pinned by my side. "You're not hiding from me this time." "What's that supposed to mean?" I was anxious, on edge, and turned on. What could possibly go wrong? "I gave you that weekend to think things over, and when I called you Monday, you changed your number already. I tried to go to your apartment a few days later, and you changed your access code. Then, not even two weeks later, Gou tells me you've moved." "I had to." My voice shook. "Why?" "Because I had so many memories in that apartment." His stern look softened. "I know you and Rin-" "Not Rin." I stopped him from continuing. "You. It was always you. You helped me move. You helped me paint. You were there when my brother was in a car accident. It was always you." "What are you saying, Daisy?" I couldn't fight the tears anymore, "The second your teal eyes met mine, I knew I'd love you. When I heard you say my name, I never wanted to hear anyone else ever say it. When you called me 'Daisy' the first time, I wanted to know what it would be like to hear you say it while you made love to me. Countless times I've-" "Stop." He demanded suddenly. A choked laugh escaped me, and I looked up at him. "I never loved Rin as much as I loved you. I had to cut you out of my life to move on completely. I told you our friendship was too important to me. I-" I was silenced by a kiss that I never wanted to end. His lips were molded into mine, and they fit perfectly there. His arms went from around my waist to my up-do, a tangled mess from one of his hands in seconds. His other hand was firmly placed on my ass, keeping me as close as possible. I moaned into the kiss as his tongue roved my mouth, and I became a mess of emotions. Sousuke and I stumbled back until I found a table at my legs. Sousuke lifted me by my ass and sat me on the tabletop, and my dress slid up to my hips. He pressed himself to me, and a new wave of desire filled me when I felt his bulge against my aching core. I quivered as he raked his teeth across my bottom lip before he kissed his way down my neck and peppered my collarbone with kisses. I ran my fingers through those perfect black locks of his, and I felt a hum of approval against my cleavage. I gave a gentle tug, and I was rewarded with a groan this time, so I tugged a little harder, and he squeezed my thighs this time. Sousuke continued to kiss my shoulders, neck, and chest as I felt the zipper on my back get pulled down. "We should leave," he murmured into my flesh, which tingled with every touch of his hands. "I can't wait any longer," I was a moaning mess already, and I needed to feel his body; I needed to feel him inside of me. "Are you sure?" He pulled away slightly to allow me time to look at him. My eyes were clouded with lust, but my heartbeat was in the rhythm of love and so much more. "Sou, I've never been more certain of anything in my life," Sou offered me a smirk at my words. "Then I can ravage you here," the zipper stopped, and my dress fell to my waist, "and make love to you later." Those warm hands traversed my upper body as he kissed me again, and I began unbuttoning his shirt to the best of my ability. I felt his chest rumble as he chuckled at my feeble attempt and pulled it over his head. His lips connected with mine again, and he pushed my dress up so it was only around my waist. A hand pressed to my chest and slowly towards my neck. He broke the kiss to push me back onto the table. Fingers hooked into the waist of my panties, Sousuke pulled them off and dropped them beside his shirt. "Beautiful," he rasped at the sight of me, and I blushed. Sousuke wasted no time as he knelt between my legs and licked upwards quickly. A skilled tongue savored my taste, and I squirmed beneath his teasing. With a few lazy pushes of his tongue, he settled for licking my clit as he teased my slit with his fingers. His fingers pushed into me, and his mouth latched onto my clit at the same time. I arched my back immediately and closed my eyes as I ran my fingers through his hair again. "Sou," I moaned, and it seemed like it was the only word I knew anymore. His free hand pressed me down by my hip, and I wiggled at the dominance, finding it the sexiest thing I've ever experienced to date. A firm squeeze on my hip was matched with a deep groan as I pulled his hair, and I had to bite the inside of my cheek to suppress the scream of ecstasy. I was panting by the time the orgasm passed, and Sousuke had cleaned me from his fingers. I moved to sit up, but the grip on my thighs had me looking to Sousuke, and the dark storm of desire told me I wasn't moving from where I was. I couldn't tell if he was naked or if he pulled his pants down, but he didn't hesitate as he slammed into me in one stiff shot, extracting a scream of surprise that I was sure everyone had heard. "Sousuke," I scolded as he stilled his hips. "Let them hear," he grunted and started thrusting into me. His hands held my legs, and I held my breasts as he did as promised: ravaged me. This was years of built sexual tension and aggression let out in roughly twenty minutes. He didn't slow his actions as I whimpered and thrashed as I tried to bite back the screams of pleasure. My mouth would've made a sailor blush at the slurs that slipped from me as I watched this man buck into me. "Don't stop," I pleaded. "That's it, Daisy," he said, what I've dreamt of hearing repeatedly. "Sou!" I couldn't hold that one back, and it signaled both of our ends. Sousuke became sloppy, and I felt him swell, and the feeling stretched my orgasm on even longer. Once his movements stilled, he pulled me up to him, and our lips crashed together in a mess of teeth and tongue. We weren't ready to be finished, but we knew someone had heard us and would likely come looking for us soon. Sousuke pulled away and pulled his clothes back on as I slid from the table on unsure legs. "I should've controlled myself," Sousuke pouted as he helped steady me. "Never control yourself," it sounded funny, but I didn't want the gentle giant in bed. He smiled and gave me a peck before helping me into my panties and zipping my dress. We checked each other over and stood before the doors to meet the others. Sousuke took his hand in mine, and I looked up at him. "Do you remember what I said that night?" Sousuke asked. "Which part?" I remembered everything from that night. "I may not know what love is, but I know what love ain't" was a song I listened to often back then. "What about it?" My voice shook slightly. He turned us both and cupped my cheek, "This is love."

- Secrets: Byakuya Kuchiki by LHatake87
Tags: Bleach, reader insert, mature content We all have secrets. Every last one of us. It could be something simple: your obsession with watermelon. It could be something amusing; the feel of silk against your skin is a turn-on. Or, it could be something that would turn the world upside down. Maybe even right-side up. "Y/n!" I heard Lieutenant Abarai yell. I spun on my heel, "Yes, Lieutenant?" He smiled down at me. The red-haired Shinigami was intimidating to look at but was truly a softy at heart. He seemed stressed. His eyes were tired, and his muscles were tense. "Is everything alright?" I questioned before he spoke up. "Captain is asking for you." I must have looked like a deer in the headlights, eyes wide in shock. "What?" I croaked. "You know he returned injured from fighting an Espada?" I nodded, "He asked for you to help with his recovery and captain's duties." I quirked a brow, "Really? Um, alright. I'll be right there." "He's currently in his office." "He shouldn't be out of bed!" I shouted. "That's why I came so quickly. I was hoping he would listen to you." Why on earth would that stubborn man listen to me? His pride and ego... "Let's go." We began walking to the Squad 6 barracks quickly. As we did so, I thought back on my life as a Soul Reaper. I wasn't assigned to a seat, and I wasn't even assigned to a squad, really. Renji liked to joke and call me a floater, which was pretty accurate. I had captain-level knowledge and a lieutenant-level kido, and my overall strength was about a third, possibly at the lieutenant level. I studied under Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihōin, and I had stealth force training. I'm not sure how I ended up a floater, but I always suspected that Kisuke had a hand in it. I was often his point of contact. "He seems on edge. More so than usual." Renji commented. "He's always been a stubborn mule. Even when we were younger." I snorted. "You've known the Captain that long?" I nodded, "Yes. We..." I didn't know how to finish the sentence, "We were close." We were in an arranged marriage, to be exact. Between the two of us, our stubborn pride and egos got the better of us. We pushed each other away in rebellion and refused the marriage. I haven't really spoken to Byakuya in decades. In passing, sure, during a meeting. In actual conversation, one-on-one... at least thirty years. Renji didn't press anymore. My tone must have hinted that it was a sore subject. We continued our way in silence and arrived quickly at the Captain's door. knock knock "Enter." He sounded strained. "Thank you, Lieutenant." It was my nice way of dismissing Renji. "Thank you, Lady Y/n." I cringed at the name. Most people addressed me this way, wanting to show respect, but I had no official rank. I opened and closed the door quickly. He never looked up, just continued working. I took in his appearance while I had the time. His pale skin seemed even paler, ghostly white. His raven hair had its luscious sheen as always, it was down, without his normal adornment. His black, almost violet eyes scanned the document in his hands. Those hands that I've dreamt of holding me. Those eyes I've - not now! He was dressed normally, but no Captain's haori. "What do you think you're doing?" He still didn't look up when he asked the question. "I think that's my line," I smirked as I crossed my arms. His pen froze, and he finally raised his head to look at me. Those piercing eyes are taking me in. I shivered beneath his intense gaze. His normally emotionless eyes held something in them I could quite place. Before I could even attempt to figure it out, it was gone. "Lady Y/n, what are you doing here?" "Please don't call me that, Captain." I sighed, "Your Lieutenant said that you requested me." The look of confusion passed over his face, and then it was replaced with one of mild anger. "You didn't ask for me, did you?" "No." I could see he wanted to say more, so I didn't answer. "What exactly did he say?" He had sat down the pen, giving me his full attention. "We can discuss that as I escort you home." I rounded the desk and stood next to him. I glanced at the paperwork he was working on; it was a request form. Before I could read it completely, he turned it over. He turned in his chair to face me fully. His eyes analyzed me again. I always felt so small when I stood under his piercing gaze. I felt inadequate. I felt exposed. It was a strange feeling that only this man gave me. "Your hair is longer." That is an odd statement from him. But yes, my h/l h/c hair had indeed gotten longer. I was wearing it down today; it was my day off. "Yours has, too." I commented, "Now let's go." My hand twitched, wanting to run my hands through his hair. I finally extended my hand, offering to assist him. He ignored my hand and pushed himself up with the help of his desk and chair. When he winced, I slipped beside him and placed his arm around my shoulders. His scent hit me: cherry blossoms with a deep forest musk laced in. It's never changed, and it was always intoxicating. My own knees were weak. "You shouldn't be out of bed." I scolded. "I have duties." "Which is why you have a capable Lieutenant. And now, me." We began the short journey to his home. His muscles were tense, and he would flinch from time to time as we walked. "Renji said you asked for me. That you asked for my help with your recovery and to stay caught up on your duties." "Hn." I rolled my eyes at his reply. "Quit being stubborn," I mumbled. "I'm letting you help me, aren't I?" I found myself rolling my eyes again. We approached his family home, and I spotted one of his servants. "Can you please draw a hot bath for Lord Byakuya? Please be sure to add the salts Squad Four sent over." "Yes, Lady Y/n." The servant gave a full bow to me, which made me cringe. "Why does that bother you so much?" He's in a strange mood. "I'm not a noble. I have no rank." I shrugged, "I don't see why I need to be addressed that way." "It's a sign of respect. You've earned it." I snorted. "Thank you, Captain," I replied with a blush, barely dusting my cheeks. We approached the bathing suite and I helped him to sit. I knelt next to the bath and rolled my sleeves. I dipped my hands in to check the temperature. I added more oils to the bath and made sure towels were laid out. I began untying my uniform. "What are you doing?" "Are you able to do this yourself?" I snapped. I continued undressing, wordlessly. While I didn't mind being traditional in most ways, I did find that the human world's bra and panties were way more comfortable than using bindings and fabric. So here I stood with my hair up now, in nothing but f/c bra and panties. I turned to see Byakuya's eyes looking everywhere but at me. I gave a small giggle that still didn't catch his attention. When I knelt next to him, he had no choice but to acknowledge me. "Why are you doing this?" His tone made me flinch. "I want to help you." Even though I'm sure it hurt him to move so fast, he still managed to catch me off guard. He gripped my wrists tightly as I began untying his uniform. "You owe me nothing." "It's not a matter of owing you something, Captain Kuchiki. You're my comrade and in need of help. Allow me to help you. Please." "Comrade." He whispered to himself, though I heard him. "I'd hardly call us friends, Captain." "Quit." His stoic face took on a hard look. He released my hands. "Quit what? Speaking? Undressing you? Helping you?" "Calling me 'Captain'." "Oh. Okay. I apologize, Lord Byakuya." His robes fell from his shoulders and pooled around his waist. I helped him stand, and the remaining fabric fell to the floor. He also opted for modern undergarments, and stood in boxer briefs. I lead him to the bath and we both stepped in. His formal bath could hold four people, so there was plenty of room for us. He hissed as he sank into the water fully. I couldn't suppress the small moan that came from me. "This bath was always my favorite. The water is always perfect." I found myself defending the moan. "You always enjoyed water. No matter where or what kind." "I guess you're right." I mused. Once I had him settled in his seat, I gathered his hair and placed it in a bun. Lacing my hands with kido, I began to examine his upper body. He seemed to tense and relaxed as my hands brushed over him softly, with a light feather touch. I almost died on the spot the second I heard him sigh, hiding the small moan he let pass his lips. Just barely, the tips of his ears turned red. I smiled softly. "You were injured a week ago?" "Yes." "You should be back to normal in a few more days. I'll be out of your hair then." I had moved to sit in front of him, letting my hands trace his thighs and calves. I glanced up at him to see that he was looking at me, unwavering. "Is something wrong, Lord Byakuya?" I sat straight. His cheeks were flushed from the heat of the bath. I'm sure mine were as well. "When we're alone, just Byakuya is fine." Alone? We're never alone. After these next three days, I'll go back to never seeing you. "Then I insist you drop the 'Lady' from my name as well." He gave a slight nod but said nothing more. The silence was uncomfortable, but I still allowed myself to relax and sink further into the water. Water always did calm me. I'd lay in a bath or lake until I was pruned. I'd stand in a rainstorm until I was drenched and shivering. One of my fondest memories of Byakuya was when he found me standing in his family's courtyard doing that exact thing. A smile tugged at my lips as I closed my eyes, remembering that day. The water ripples as Byakuya moves. I sat up straight and opened my eyes and mouth to begin scolding him. I clamped my mouth shut when I saw Byakuya standing directly before me. The way we were currently, I was looking directly at his bare chest. I looked up with my e/c eyes, concern and curiosity etched into my features. I found his dark violet eyes were softer than usual. "Stand up." He was always so direct. I found myself standing without question. He was still a good six inches taller than me, so I still had to peer up at him. I blinked in confusion. I couldn't find my voice to ask him what was wrong. I simply sat there, looking like a complete idiot, I'm sure. "The servants can handle the rest. You may take your leave." He finally spoke. It was like a slap to the face. I felt my face fall, feeling dejected. And rejected. What else did I think was going to happen. I'm a fool. "Seriously? That's what I get? I'm here helping you, and you dismiss me?" The heat rose to my face in anger and embarrassment. "I-" "Don't. Just don't. Renji came to me, seeking my help. I'm not entirely sure why he thought I would be any better at managing you than anyone else. You're a heartless ass, Byakuya Kuchiki. All you've ever done to me is push me away. I've never been good enough for you. I've never lived up to your standards." I huffed and spun on my heel. I made my way to pull myself from the water as I mumbled, "Heaven forbid I let myself fall in love with a normal person." I couldn't move. Mostly because I couldn't believe I had just that. My secret slipped from my mouth like I was confessing my love for something simple, like candy or sake. I couldn't move because Byakuya had found the strength and speed to pull me to him, kissing me. My mind was reeling, I was frozen. My arms outstretched, unsure if I should push him away or pull him closer. "Show me." He coaxed, whispering into my lips, "Show me you love me." What? My body moved on its own. I kissed him this time, wrapping my arms around his neck and standing on my tippy toes. As our tongues met, I sighed into the kiss. He even tasted like cherry blossoms. I can't do this. I pulled away slowly, not wanting to hurt him. "I should go. I'll let your servants know you're ready to lay down." His hands slid down my arms, depressingly. They splashed into the water as I stepped away from him. I removed myself from water and simply dressed, not caring that underwear was soaked. In more ways than one. I found my entire body aching for his. Not a word was spoken as I made my way out. I never looked back. I never looked to see the look of pain on his face. Pain from my rejection, not from his wounds. The next week passed, with Renji visiting every day. Begging me to visit his Captain again. He said Byakuya seemed out of character since my last visit. He was even quieter. He was distracted, which is something the Captain of Squad Six wasn't effected by. I denied every request he gave. "Lady Y/n?" I looked up from my desk in the Squad One barracks. "Yes?" It was someone I didn't know. "Your presence has been requested by Captain Kuchiki." The pen I held snapped. Crap. "I'll head that way soon. Thank you." I couldn't avoid him forever, I suppose. We'd have to talk about the kiss. He'd be returning to duty soon, tomorrow, in fact, so we'd be seeing each other in passing again. I walked to the Squad Six barracks slowly. I analyzed every possible outcome I could think of. The walk wasn't long enough. I was here. "Lieutenant, do you know where Captain Kuchiki is?" "Lady y/n," he greeted, "Yes. He's in the training room." "Thank you." I made my way to the training room, wondering why he would request me to meet him there of all places. I slid the screen open and stepped in. I turned to push the screen close and was met with a wooden sword being tossed my way. I caught it on reflex and looked to the Captain. "Fight me." He came at me, not allowing me to answer. He still didn't wear his Haori. His sleeves rolled to his biceps, and he was shoeless. Today, I was in my shorter uniform, and it stopped mid-thigh. I blocked his strike and kicked my shoes off. "Is this really necessary?" I asked as I moved to strike back. He didn't speak. He kept striking, always on the offensive. Leaving me to always defend. When my back met the wall behind me, he was able to knock my weapon away, my wrist already bruising. I winced. "Ow. Damnit, Kuchiki, that hurt." Suddenly, his wooden sword was pressed against my shoulders. He pushed against it. "Why did you walk out on me?" I gave a dry laugh, "That's what this is about? You asked me to leave. So I did." I bit out. He clicked his tongue and stepped back. I analyzed him now. He was on edge. He was tense. This wasn't like him at all. Something was bothering him. He began walking away. "Hey!" I called as I jogged up to him, "Don't ignore me." He glanced down at me but didn't say a word. He just kept walking. "Did you even ask for me this time?" It was a genuine question. Maybe Renji sent someone else to tell me, so I didn't question it. "Yes." I didn't pay attention to where we were walking until I realized we were back at his quarters. He stepped inside and held the door open still. A silent request for me to join him. As I entered, he closed the door behind me. "What is going on?" I asked, turning to face him. I crossed my arms in a huff and waited. My stance showed my agitation. I'm sure my face showed annoyance as well. "I need to discuss something with you." I could see the hesitation. The thing about Byakuya, is most people can't read him. Kisuke and Yoruichi could quite easily. I had a hard time, but usually I would figure it out, or close to it. "Captain, this isn't like you. Will you please just tell me what's going on." He walked to his desk that sat inside his bedroom. He picked up a piece of paper and returned it to me. He scanned the paper and handed it to me. I almost choked. In my hand, I held a request form for me. Not just for me. For me to named the third seat of Squad Six. I looked up to meet Byakuya's eyes, staring in disbelief. I blinked a few times, still not finding the words to ask the question. "Why?" I finally croaked out. "You deserve it." Political answer. I shook my head, "Why, Byakuya?" His eyes seemed to sparkle when his name slipped from between my lips. So casually, like when we were younger. "I want you close." I didn't say anything, but he saw the confusion in my eyes, "When I was injured. I did ask for you." "What?" He walked away and sat on the futon in the room. I heard a small sigh as he pulled his adornments from his hair. I took a seat on the coffee table, sitting directly in front of him. I placed my hands on his knees, showing him I was there. "I know how I am, which is harsh. You know how I was raised, showing no emotion. After Hisana, I became even more distant and cold." He paused, and I sat silently, allowing him to collect his thoughts. "When I was injured. All I could think about was you." What? "I wanted you close so I could keep you safe. I wanted you close," he finally looked up, noting the shimmer in my eyes, "so I could see you every day." "Byakuya," I whispered. I was scared this wasn't real. I was dreaming. This man. This man is trying to be honest. He's trying to open up to me. "Hisana will always have my love." It hurt, but I knew it was the truth, "But you will always have my heart." The tears finally fell. Rivers of silent tears fell onto my lap. I averted my eyes to fall upon my hands, which he now held in his. His thumbs rubbed the backs of my hands gently. I took a hand away to rub my eyes clean. "Kiss me." His tone was soft, but I still felt like it was a command. From my Captain. I moved slowly, unsure at first. I placed my hands on his shoulders to balance myself as I straddled him. He looked up at me as lowered myself down. I bit my lip as I scanned his face. I leaned in, gasping as his hands pulled me the rest of the way in. The kiss the other day was sloppy and rushed. This kiss was tender and loving. But the hunger behind it was undeniable. I felt the heat between my legs grow, causing me to grind against him. Byakuya groaned into the kiss at the friction against his growing excitement. His skilled hands loosened my robes, brushing them down my shoulders. We didn't break away as he stood with me, making his way to the bedroom where his futon roll lay on the floor. He sat me on my feet gently as he continued to remove my uniform. I reached behind me to undo the modern bra and let it fall to the floor. He hooked his fingers at the hem of my panties and slid them down in one fluid motion. I knew he would be a silent lover, but the way his eyes raked over my body spoke volumes to me. I watched as he untied his robes and let them drop to the floor. Soon, he was fully undressed, and so was I. I stepped closer, pressing my naked form against his. I craned my neck to kiss his jawline. When I reached his ear, I gave a small kiss to it before giving him a breathless request. "Take me." Byakuya guided me to the floor. As I lay on my back, his hair forms a curtain around us, and he stares down at me. He gave me a short kiss before making his way to my neck. A shiver escaped me when his tongue trailed my collarbone. He kissed a path down my body. His hands held a firm grip, kneading appreciatively at my flesh. "Byakuya." The softest whisper of his name passed my lips as his tongue slid against my folds. I arched into him, allowing him better access. The thrusts of his tongues were hard yet languid as if he had all the time in the world. His thumb made slow circles around my clit, pushing me closer and closer to the edge. With no words, my climax hit. My legs shook as I moaned. I wanted to return the favor and show him my affection, but he had other ideas. After he was satisfied with tasting me, he kissed his way back up. He pressed himself to my cunt and pushed slowly. I'm sure he didn't mean for it to be a tease, but I couldn't wait any longer. I bucked my hips, pushing him in further. As soon as he was fully seated in my core, he kissed my forehead tenderly. A silent action that spoke a million words. The three I knew he'd never say were the most important. He began thrusting slowly, still leaving me breathless. It was like I was complete now. He was the final piece of the puzzle, making me feel whole again. He laced his fingers with mine and placed my hands above me. His eyes never left my face unless he was giving me sweet kisses across my face. Or long, passionate kisses where our tongues danced together. He let one hand go so he could caress my body, brushing past my nipples. I began meeting his thrusts with my hips, matching his quickening pace. I could feel the next wave of pleasure building. The next high just within reach. As his name became the only word I knew, I felt him swell with his own release. A small groan of my name from his mouth made me blush crimson. He kissed me again and held me close. He rolled us both so he was on his back. I moved myself off of him, removing him from inside me. Byakuya wrapped his arm around me, pulling me close to him. I nuzzled into his chest, inhaling deeply. Our scents mingling together. He kissed the top of my head as he brushed my h/c hair from my face. I smiled as I remembered something from when we were younger, "Our little secret." I whispered. "Hn. Our little secret." He mumbled sleepily.
