" I actually started cosplaying because I was going through some heavy depression. And as a Black woman, I wanted to knock down the barriers of “You can’t be this character cause they’re white…” And I’m so happy that I did because it has made my life so much richer to express myself this way.
My favorite cosplay is definitely Sophie from Howls Moving Castle."
